Embedding S3MediaVault Video/Audio/File on Another Website - S3 Media Vault - WordPress Plugin for Amazon S3 and CloudFront That Provides a S3 Audio Player and a S3 Video Player

Embedding S3MediaVault Video/Audio/File on Another Website

NOTE:
If it is a Video/Audio you wish to embed from your main domain (where S3MediaVault is installed) on to a different domain, it cannot be a "Video Player (streaming)" or "Audio Player (streaming)" shortcode, because encrypted streaming videos/audio are tied to the main domain where you have S3MediaVault installed and prepared it for streaming. So, it will not work on any other third-party domains if embedded. (No such restrictions on any other file type, like PDF, Zip, Doc, Images, etc).

So to embed a Video or Audio on a different website or domain (including sub-domains), it must be...
a) a "Standard" Video or Audio shortcode (both S3 and CloudFront as the source will work fine).
OR
b) It must be "Unencrypted" streaming video/audio (in S3MediaVault Settings, uncheck "Encrypt Streaming Video & Audio?" and then prepare the media for streaming).

---------------------------------------------------------

Here's how to embed a video from a SOURCE website (where S3MediaVault is installed) on a different DESTINATION website (which does NOT have to be a WordPress website, and does not need to have S3MediaVault installed):

1. On Source website (where S3MediaVault is installed), at the bottom of the S3MediaVault Settings page, add the domain of the Destination website (where you wish to embed the video) in the "Whitelist Domains" section.

2. Edit the shortcode of the media you wish to embed. At the top, click on the "Embed" button and copy the HTML code provided in the popup that appears.

Embed the HTML on the Destination website where you want the video to show up, just like you would embed a YouTube video.

Clicking the "Embed" button will show a popup that gives you YouTube-like HTML code that you can embed on any website (that allows embedding of HTML code).

Make sure you "Whitelist" the domain of the destination site at the bottom of the S3MediaVault Settings page under "Miscellaneous Settings". Otherwise you'll see a "Sorry, this website is not authorized to embed this video." on the destination site.
